Why do people say Lady GaGa is copying Madonna?

I'm a huge Lady Gaga fan and a fan of Madonna's people keep on saying that Lady Gaga is copying off of Madonna.

How is she copying Madonna? Madonna didn't invent anything. I'm sorry if I offend any Madonna fans but I've seen several of Madonna's music videos from the 80's and nothing is similar to what Gaga is doing.

Gaga has said in several interviews that she has studied Madonna's work and is a huge influence in Gaga's career. She was inspired by Madonna, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera. She didn't copy them.

Right? You can bash me all you want but Madonna didn't invent anything. Glam pop has been around since the 70's.
